Entry and Exit
HOW DO I GET ENTRY TO MY UNIT?
With GB Storage, you enter the facility and your storage unit using our app on your mobile phone. Before your move in date, you will receive a text message with instructions on how to set this up. Simply download of our app from either the Apple or Android app stores.
HOW DO I DOWNLOAD THE APP?
Follow the instructions on the text message sent to you, which will take you to the Apple or Android app stores, depending on which device you have.
I DON’T HAVE A SMARTPHONE. CAN I STILL GET ACCESS?
Yes! We have fobs available for £25 (refundable) that operate with a single click
WHY WON’T THE GATES/DOORS/UNIT DOOR OPEN FOR ME?
If it is after 10pm and before 6:30am, the doors are set to allow exit only. If it is not opening for another reason, contact us on 0161 503 3381

We are open every day, 365 days a year, from 6:30am until 10pm.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I’M IN MY UNIT AFTER CLOSING TIME?
All alarm systems are activated shortly after 10pm, even if customers are on site.

WILL THERE BE ANY EMPLOYEES ON SITE WHEN I ARRIVE?
Unless you have previously arranged to meet a member of our team on site, it is unlikely there will be any employees on site when you arrive.
Packing and Unloading My Stuff
IS THERE ANYONE ON SITE TO HELP ME UNLOAD OR LOAD MY STUFF?
While employees are sometimes on site, you should always plan to unload and pack your items yourself. We can arrange assistance on request.

ARE THERE ANY STEPS TO ENTER THE FACILITY?
There are no steps to the ground floor units.
The first floor units have one flight of stairs and the value units have another two steps down from the first floor.

HOW CLOSE CAN I PARK TO MY UNIT?
We have exclusive parking directly outside the facility and there is on street parking.
ARE THERE ANY DOLLYS OR TROLLEYS AT THE SITE TO AID WITH UNLOADING/PACKING?
We have trolleys on each floor for shared use.

We sell boxes and tape. Please get in touch for prices and we will supply these to your unit before you move in.
Booking My Unit
CAN I BOOK MY STORAGE UNIT ONLINE?
Yes you can! Simply follow the online instructions and you can complete your booking.

CAN I RESERVE A STORAGE UNIT AHEAD OF TIME?
Yes! You can make a booking one month before you intend to move in. No deposit is required and we do not charge a booking fee. If you change your mind before the move in date, simply cancel and you will not be charged.

WHAT PAYMENT OPTIONS ARE THERE?
You can pay using either direct debit or any major debit / credit card, including American Express. We do not currently accept cash.
Cancelling My Booking Before I Move In
CAN I CANCEL BEFORE I MOVE IN EVEN THOUGH I’VE SENT YOU MY PAYMENT DETAILS?
Yes you can. To cancel your booking, either log in to your GB Storage account, or call us on 0161 503 3381 / 07305 567641.
Moving Out
I WANT TO MOVE OUT AND/OR CANCEL FUTURE PAYMENTS. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
Once your unit is completely empty, simply call us on 0161 503 3381 or send a Whats'App or SMS to 07305 567641 to confirm your move out date.
I WANT TO MOVE OUT IMMEDIATELY. CAN I GET A REFUND ON PAYMENTS MADE TO DATE?
You can move out at any time (subject to opening hours).
