HOW SECURE ARE YOUR STORAGE UNITS?
Security is a top priority at GB Storage Ltd. Our self storage site in Shaw, Oldham is monitored 24/7 with CCTV, with electronic gate access and all of our units have alarms on the doors. All of our storage units are fitted with internal motion sensors. You can trust GB Storage to keep your belongings safe and secure.
Entry and Exit
HOW DO I GET ENTRY TO MY UNIT?
With GB Storage, you enter the facility and your storage unit using our app on your mobile phone. Before your move in date, you will receive a text message with instructions on how to set this up
HOW DO I DOWNLOAD THE APP?
Follow the instructions on the text message sent to you on your move in day, which will take you to the Apple or Android app stores, (depending on which device you have)
WHY WON’T THE GATES/DOORS/UNIT DOOR OPEN FOR ME?
If it is after 10pm and before 6:30am, the doors are set to allow exit only

WHEN CAN I ACCESS MY STORAGE UNIT?
At GB Storage Ltd, you can access your storage unit between 6:30am and 10:00pm, 7 days a week. Our extended access hours are designed to give you maximum flexibility, whether you're using storage for personal use, moving house, or managing business stock. Our self storage facility in Shaw, Oldham is easily accessible and built for convenience.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I’M IN MY UNIT AFTER CLOSING TIME?
All alarm systems are activated shortly after 10pm, even if customers are on site

WILL THERE BE ANY EMPLOYEES ON SITE WHEN I ARRIVE?
Unless you have previously arranged to meet a member of our team on site, it is unlikely there will be any employees on site when you arrive
Packing and Unloading My Stuff
IS THERE ANYONE ON SITE TO HELP ME UNLOAD OR LOAD MY STUFF?
While employees are sometimes on site, you should always plan to unload and pack your items yourself. We can arrange assistance on request

ARE THERE ANY STEPS TO ENTER THE FACILITY?
There are no steps to the ground floor units
The first floor units have one flight of stairs and the value units have another two steps down from the first floor

HOW CLOSE CAN I PARK TO MY UNIT?
We have exclusive parking directly outside the facility and there is on street parking
ARE THERE ANY DOLLYS OR TROLLEYS AT THE SITE TO AID WITH UNLOADING/PACKING?
We have trolleys on each floor for shared use

CAN I BOOK MY STORAGE UNIT ONLINE?
Yes you can! Simply follow the online instructions and you can complete your booking

CAN I RESERVE A STORAGE UNIT AHEAD OF TIME?
Yes! You can make a booking one month before you intend to move in. No deposit is required and we do not charge a booking fee. If you change your mind before the move in date, simply cancel and you will not be charged

WHAT PAYMENT OPTIONS ARE THERE?
You can pay using either direct debit or any major debit / credit card, including American Express. We do not currently accept cash

CAN I CANCEL BEFORE I MOVE IN EVEN THOUGH I’VE SENT YOU MY PAYMENT DETAILS?
Yes you can. To cancel your booking, either log in to your GB Storage account, or call us on 0161 503 3381 / 07305 567641

No. We pride ourselves on our flexibility, and understand that your needs for storage can change quickly. That's why we don't charge a deposit, meaning you can cancel anytime before the move in date without charge

Moving Out
DO YOU REQUIRE ANY NOTICE PERIOD FOR ME TO MOVE OUT?
No. When you have finished with your storage unit, just let us know when it is completely empty, and we will cancel the contract for you

You can move out at any time (subject to opening hours).
